School of Biomolecular Science and Engineering (BSE), VISTEC held the Nanopore technology workshop in the BSE504 Design, Module, and Invention in Biological Engineering course. Nanopore is a powerful tool that allows us to analyze long sequences of DNA or RNA fragments. It works by detecting the fluctuation in electrical current when the fragments pass through protein nanopore and translate into DNA or RNA sequences. The nanopore workshop held at the School of BSE, VISTEC on March 14-15, 2022 by Dr. Thidathip Wongsurawat and her team (from Siriraj Long Read Lab) gave a comprehensive data overview and practical hands-on experience as well as data analysis workflows.
